Project update
Under the Environmental Screening Process in Ontario, Wind Prospect is responsible for preparing a Screening Report which addresses potential environmental effects as determined from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment ("MOE") screening criteria.
A screening report for the Flat Creek Wind Farm was prepared in accordance with the requirements of both the MOE’s Environmental Assessment Act, as well as the federally administered Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. The results of the screening indicate that there are no significant negative environmental effects, taking into account the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures. Click here to download the Notice of Completion, which has been published in the Chatham Daily News and the Blenheim Tribune.
The draft report was reviewed and commented on by federal and provincial agencies, as well as municipal officials. Changes were made to address each comment, and the final version was submitted on May 29th, 2009. For more information on the screening procedure in Ontario, and to view the report, please see the Studies Section.
